Hello! Today I am gonna talk About Minecraft
(I know no one reads these but I like writing them anyway)
So, Minecraft is a blocky, sandbox game that lets you explore new worlds, build empires or ward off vicious foes. This game was largely laughing stock when 70% of it's fan base was 7 year old boys, but then again, at least it isn't as much as a joke is as Roblox these days.
I knew about Minecraft ever since I came to primary school. At my school, there was a Minecraft club held in one of the computer rooms after school, I remember thinking along with most of my classmates, "Pfft, what nerds." That was until I went to one of my friends houses. (I cannot display their name for privacy reasons so we will call them Violet)
Ok, so we were at Violet's house and she was showing me a game on her tablet. She was showing me Minecraft. (Thank you Violet, you changed my life) Anyway, she had this huge grey house and all I remember was that she had a HUGE glass room at the top that was full of cats. In case you didn't know, I LOVE CATS. I also remember flooding her house on accident and breaking some of the wall when she let me play on her device. After that, I had fallen in love (with Minecraft, not Violet)
I asked my dad to get me Minecraft but he wanted me do a free trail first. I had it for like 24 hours and I joined the world and there were a ton of Monsters! I ran away and then, being a nine year old kid, though, "Huh, what happens if I dig a hole?" So I dug myself into a hole. And it became night. And it started raining. And I was stuck in the hole. (Don't ask why I didn't dig a stair case out)
The final straw was when the Minecraft cave sounds started playing and I got super scared. I stopped playing, I was scared and I couldn't move. But for some reason, when we got our very own Kindle Fires, my dad got me and my sister Minecraft. (Thanks dad) That is my Minecraft story, here is why I love Minecraft:
In this game, you can make your own world, its a blank canvas and you can survive peacefully in a beautiful forest with your pet dog Bingo, or you can build an entire country out of concrete or make flying machine, or slay a dragon. It really is up to you. I could literally play Minecraft for hours! (And I have!)
So, get out there and make something cool! (But also watch out for that creeper, RUN!)
